   Mulholland was the first baseball jersey I ever had. It was the away Jersey with the old school maroon Phillies P. It was awesome. I have since passed the Jersey down to my son. It’s big on him, but he certainly represents it well.

   He was my favorite player. I even wrote a song about him, sung to the tune of “Hail to the Redskins”:

   Terry Mulholland – The best pitcher in the league.
   Terry Mulholland – If you face him, you’ll feel beseiged.
   Terry Mulholland – You won’t get a hit, no way.
   Terry Mulholland – If you face him, you’ll get a K.

   I had tickets with my dad for that game back in 1990. We had season tickets forever…

   of course…I got sick that night (I was only 6)….so my Dad went to the game….and witnessed maybe the rarest feat in baseball.

   But I’m convinced if I would have went to that game….
   it never would have happend

   Mulholland’s pickoff move was so good that he picked me off while sitting at home on the couch.

   I loved his pickoff move so much that I taught it to my pitchers, lefty and righty, as a high school baseball coach. We called it “Terry”. Oh, it really worked!

   As a Giant,Terry Mulholland was involved in one of the most bizarre plays in the mid 80’s…he snared a ball from one of the Mets,couldn’t remove the ball so he throws the glove with the ball.Still a classic play for me.

    had no idea that i would witness history that night …didnt even want to go cause i was two weeks overdue with my first baby …but as the due date came and went i got sooo bored and we were going to celebrate my g grandfathers 90 th bday… i witnessed history ..my grandfather lived to 105 and my girl will be 20 this yr….what the hell happened to time…
